The Children's National/GWU Neonatal Perinatal Fellowship Program

3-Year Fellow position at Children's National Hospital/GWU,

Washington D.C

This three-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship includes training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine.

The Division of Neonatology at Children's National/GWU provides comprehensive clinical and research training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine including Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), ECMO and Follow-up clinic as well as other subspecialty i.e. Cardiac Intensive care (CICU). As trainees in the program, fellows actively participate and learn from these clinical rotations.

Fellows participate in patient care in Labor & Delivery, NICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Follow-up Clinic, Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU) and ECMO. Didactics and other instructional activities such as simulation training, round-table discussions, Neonatology seminars, workshops, journal clubs, and one-on-one teaching are integral to the daily experience.

Prerequisite for training:

- Must have completed 3 years of Pediatric residency in an approved training program

- Must have 2-3 letters of recommendation (one of whom must be the chairman or program director of the department where you trained)

- Must have completed medical school in the U.S. or be ECFMG certified if an international medical graduate.

- Must be successfully able to obtain a District of Columbia unrestricted medical license prior to starting fellowship training.

- Must have successfully passed all three steps of the USMLE.

Fellowship start dates are:

July 1, 2024

(Contingent upon completion of required training)
