Job Description
The Schedule Engineer works with the project team to provide support for construction operations and schedule deliverables.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in project scheduling, working with the project schedule to support detailed short and long-term schedules.
  • Make certain the project team understands how to prepare, develop, analyze, and progress the project schedule with input from the project team using Primavera P6.
  • Assist project teams in prioritizing tasks (submittals, long lead materials, etc.) to meet contractual dates and other requirements.
  • Track progress of the major Vendors and Subcontractors to ensure that materials are manufactured and delivered in a timely fashion as not to impact the project schedule.
  • Prepare deliverables to communicate schedule to the client and stakeholders.
  • Obtain and track construction activity progress from site to maintain the project schedule to aid project leadership.
  • When required onsite, verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity compared to baseline assumptions.
  • Assist in proper project planning, developing work packages and preparing production indicators/benchmarks, and developing activity schedules.
  • Assist projects in identifying production goals from work packages to ensure communication of productivity goals is understood by crews executing the work.
  • Assist the project team in understanding how to forecast costs and update cost forecasts using the schedule.
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams and field personnel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Requires a four-year degree in engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience in construction Project Controls or Project Management.
  • Experience setting up and managing project Schedules within Primavera P6.
  • Interest in all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods): craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft products and familiarity with project management software.
  • Understanding of Earned Value concepts and how to apply them.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at a time.
  • Ability to travel to support project teams.
