This opportunity is to provide subject matter expertise support on standard and non-standard rotary wing aircraft to provide guidance, input, and analysis for a study on the successes and shortfalls of current rotary wing programs funded through the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program. The Rotary Wing Subject Matter Expert will also provide input on recommendations for alternative platforms that could meet partner nation multi-mission rotary wing requirements, especially in challenging environmental conditions.
ResponsibilitiesThe Rotary Wing Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for providing input into the design and development of the rotary wing study, which will focus on documenting the demand from partner nations for rotary wing platforms; analysis of existing rotary wing programs funded, in part or in whole, by the United States and delivered U.S.-manufactured aircraft; and an analysis of alternatives to consider for meeting rotary wing requirements of partner nations. The Rotary Wing Subject Matter Expert will:
- Contribute to search criteria to determine the type of rotary wing demand that exists and the platform requirements.
- Support the Analysis of Existing Rotary Wing Programs.
- Assist in identifying sources to research alternative platforms that could meet partner nation demand, including developing a questionnaire or information requirements to inform research and possible interviews of alternative suppliers.
- Master's Degree in related field
- Aviation Experience with U.S. military helicopters and non-standard aircraft, minimum of 20 years of experience
- Rotary-wing expertise, minimum of 10 years of experience
- Previous Military experience
- Experience as a rotary-wing Pilot
- Regional or local experience in FMF Countries
- Experience with U.S. Special Operations Command, US SOF, and/or NATO
