Qualifications
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

To qualify for this position you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as experience:
  1. Developing online and web-based training programs for credit unions, banks, or other financial institutions;
  2. Interpreting rules and regulations associated with the operations of financial institutions; and
  3. Evaluating the effectiveness of an instructional program.
In addition to meeting specialized experience requirements, applicants must also meet basic education requirements.

Basic Education Requirements are as follows:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to this position. The coursework must have included study in at least four of the following five areas:
  1. Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
  2. Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
  3. Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.
  4. Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
  5. Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software.

SALARY: Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position in accordance with NCUA's compensation policy.
