Ops Coordinator

*** This role can reside in Maize, Kansas or Lubbock, Texas***

This is a crucial role in supporting the needs of testing sites and FTAs, enabling site operations, skilled at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and responsible for partnering at various levels of the organization to drive strategic and operational effectiveness. The coordinator will need expertise in HSE programs such that they can support and track program development and completion. They will need to have strong organizational skills, able to manage budgets and payments across multiple locations, build expertise on internal systems and follow best practices.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Ops Coordinator, are to:

  • Own and support operations pertaining to delegated area of expertise; including but not limited to HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement and/or other areas defined by leadership;
  • Build cross-functional relationships to collaboratively partner with the business and effectively network within the network;
  • Independently prioritize key tasks and responsibilities, considering seasonality of business; prioritize enterprise success over local enablement;
  • Own and identify communication needs to appropriate levels of organization, including peers, leadership and internal/external stakeholders to drive strategic and operational efficiencies across operations;
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to define business issues and opportunities, highlighting significant areas of spend and continuous improvement;
  • Identify cost savings programs through capturing, reporting and expanding across the production network to drive savings;
  • Lead and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction;
  • Manage cooperator, contracting, procurement and service relationships within relevant region, ensuring clear communication of corporate policies and procedures while meeting the needs and expectations of local vendors;
  • Clearly communicate, track, and hold teams accountable to developing and fulfilling HSE training and Intelex requirements.

Required:

  • High school diploma;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Understanding of manufacturing/Breeding/R&D and/or desire to learn agriculture operations;
  • Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data; manage budget, finances and contracts;
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical insights to precisely drive actions;
  • Valid Driver's license and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle may be required.

  • 3 years relevant experience.
