KEEN Greater DC Seeks Full-Time Development Director

 
KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) Greater DC is a nonprofit organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families. KEEN’s mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of its athletes through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals. KEEN Greater DC serves the needs of young people with disabilities in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. 
 
KEEN Greater DC seeks a Full-Time Development Director to work with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to enhance the financial success of KEEN Greater DC through effective development, planning and execution of all resource development strategies and events.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

• research and cultivate new foundation, corporate, and individual donation opportunities;
• conceive and write grant proposals and coordinate necessary follow-up with grant-making bodies;
• track and monitor development proposals, deadlines, and requirements;
• utilize social media and email marketing to reach donors and potential donors;
• assist with fundraising events and initiatives.

 
A successful candidate will have substantial fundraising/development experience, demonstrate initiative, be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and work independently from home, and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.  Must have his/her own transportation.  Compensation commensurate with experience.
